A Polish immigrant mother in the suburbs of Chicago struggles with an empty nest after her only son leaves to study in Poland. While he is away, she finds an abandoned baby squirrel in her backyard and raises him with the same care she gave her child, until the wild animal has to be let go.
Director Tom Krawczyk filmed his mother and the squirrel, Duduś, over the course of the Covid pandemic.
