Sarah Van den Boom

Sarah Van Den Boom is a French animation director and screenwriter based in Paris. She studied at ESAG Penninghen and then in the animation workshop of the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD), graduating in 2000, and worked on animated series and feature films, including Persepolis, and as a 2D character designer on the series Pok & Mok. She has directed commercials for Acme Filmworks and personal short films including Novecento, Pianist (2005), The Skeleton Woman (2009), In Deep Waters (2015, co-produced with the National Film Board of Canada) and the stop-motion Raymonde or the Vertical Escape (2018). She is a co-founder of the production company Papy3D Productions.
