TAAFI is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit animation festival in Toronto, founded in 2012 by six animation professionals. It runs two strands side by side: a film festival of animated shorts and features, with competition awards including Grand Prix, Best Canadian, Best International, Best Student and Audience Choice, and an industry conference built around speed pitching, a work-in-progress showcase and creator talks.
The dates for the 2026 edition are 8–12 April 2026, with screenings at TIFF Lightbox on King Street West. The festival also invites animation students from Ontario colleges to join its volunteer team as student ambassadors.
