SUNCINE focuses on the relationship between society and nature through environmental documentaries, animation and fiction. Organised by the non-profit cultural association ACCIONS 3E, the festival dates back to 1993 and also carries its former name, FICMA. Its competitions distinguish international documentary features, Spanish productions, mid-length documentaries in Miradas, and short documentaries and animation in Monarca.

Cinema screenings in Calafell and Barcelona complement online viewing through CaixaForum+. SUNCINE PRO offers professional activities, while Cada Aula un Cine connects environmental films with classroom education. The dates for the 33rd edition are 4–22 November 2026, with Calafell, Barcelona and CaixaForum+ as its venues.
