Short to the Point

Short to the Point (STTP) is an international short film festival from Romania, run as a monthly competition and a network for distributing and screening short films. Active since 2009, it has grown into several projects, among them the Short Film Factory screening events and the rolling ideas competition. Each month a jury watches the submissions online, publishes an official selection and names winners in more than thirty categories, from best film, direction and cinematography to animation, documentary, experimental, music video, mobile phone and student shorts. Films can run up to 33 minutes, with no limit on the production date, and need English subtitles.

The festival does not screen films online. Award-winning films are shown at in-person events in Bucharest and other cities in Romania and abroad, including open-air screenings. The latest Short Film Factory programme with announced dates runs on the open-air terrace of Uzina Foto in Târgu Mureș on 12–14 September 2025.
