Shorts México is a festival devoted entirely to short film, founded in 2006 in Mexico City. Its main venue is the Cineteca Nacional, with screenings across all 16 boroughs of the city, in every Mexican state and online.

The programme rests on three competitive strands: Mexican (fiction, animation, documentary and Neomex), Ibero-American and International, alongside Mexican competitions for short screenplays, pitching and works in progress. The award for Best Mexican Fiction Short is the production of the winning director's next film, which is screened at the following edition. Thematic showcases include Fantascorto for fantasy, science fiction and horror, Queer Shorts, Ecoshorts, Cortitos for children and Raíces for Indigenous cinema. Throughout the year the Shorts México Tour takes films to other Mexican cities and abroad. The dates for the 2026 edition, the 21st, are 1–30 September 2026.
