Short films and feature film projects form the two competitions at the Sax International Film Festival in Sax, Alicante, Spain. The short-film programme includes fiction, animation and documentary work, alongside awards for films from Alicante, films in Valencian and social themes. Free outdoor screenings are a characteristic part of the festival, with exhibitions, concerts, book presentations, courses and meetings with filmmakers extending the programme beyond the competitions.

The festival dates back to 2006 and the initiative of filmmaker and writer Miguel Herrero Herrero. Its organisers are the Sax Film and Audiovisual Association (ACAS), Cinestesia and Sax City Council. The dates of the 20th edition are 5–11 July 2026, at Casa Alberto Sols (CEAHM).
