Roma Creative Contest connects short-film competition with production support and practical training for emerging filmmakers in Rome, Italy. Organized by Image Hunters, the festival dates back to 2011 and presents Italian and international fiction, animation, documentary films and music videos. Its programme combines competitive screenings with meetings, masterclasses and free workshops on filmmaking, digital cinema and distribution.
Alongside its short-film selection, the festival develops initiatives such as the Screenplay Contest, a challenge to write a five-minute film from a shared prompt, and Pitch in the Day, which connects first-time filmmakers with production companies. The fifteenth edition dates are 17–19 December 2026.

Festival rules
Regulations for the fifteenth edition, December 2026. Submissions are accepted exclusively through FilmFreeway. Eligible works are completed after 1 January 2024. Italian and international fiction shorts and international animated shorts have a maximum running time of 20 minutes. The Italian regulations set a 30-minute limit for international documentary shorts; music videos are also eligible.
International preview copies may be in Italian or English, or in the original language with Italian or English subtitles. Selected films require a .mov screening file in H.264 or Apple ProRes with stereo audio. Foreign-language screenings require Italian subtitles; a dialogue list is needed if the festival prepares them. Once rights holders confirm availability, selected films cannot be withdrawn.
Works must not contain advertising and must be technically suitable for public screening. Entrants are responsible for clearing all rights in images, music and other material. Submission constitutes acceptance of the regulations; the Italian version governs disputes, with jurisdiction in Rome.
