Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) is produced by Flickers, a non-profit arts organisation based in Providence that supports filmmaking in Rhode Island and New England. Its competition has no category restrictions: it takes shorts and features of any style or genre, alongside a separate screenplay competition. Grand prizes for live-action, documentary and animated shorts lead to the festival's Awards Showcase screening in Los Angeles, and a Youth Film Jury of high school and college students gives its own awards.

Around the screenings, the festival runs the Rhode Island Film Forum, the ScriptBiz screenwriting workshop and the KidsEye summer filmmaking camp, whose participants premiere their work at the festival. RIIFF marked its 20th anniversary in 2016. The 2027 edition runs 3–8 August 2027.
