Pentedattilo Film Festival turns the historic village beneath Calabria’s five-fingered rock into a setting for international short cinema. Screenings occupy the old houses, squares and open spaces of Pentedattilo, near Reggio Calabria, linking film exhibition with the cultural recovery of the village. The festival dates back to 2006 and is produced by Ram Film. Its competitions cover international shorts, animation, thriller, comedy and music video, alongside workshops and filmmaker encounters.

The 2026 festival screening and awards evening is on 30 August in Pentedattilo, within RiAnimare Pentedattilo. It shares the programme with 48 Ore Pentedattilo, a filmmaking challenge running from 28 to 30 August in which crews create shorts inspired by the village’s murals.
