The Oxford Film Festival presents independent cinema in Oxford, Mississippi. Founded in 2003, it is run by the nonprofit OxFilm, whose year-round screenings, workshops and educational programmes lead up to the annual festival. Short films and features (40 minutes and longer) from the United States and abroad compete in narrative, documentary, comedy, student, first-time filmmaker, music-based and episodic categories, with separate prizes for work with ties to Mississippi and for University of Mississippi students, plus a People's Choice award. Instead of a world premiere, the festival asks for Mississippi premiere status. Juried awards are decided by industry professionals, and the selection typically includes up to 100 films from around 1,000 submissions.

The dates for the 2027 edition are 18–20 March 2027.
