Nazra Palestine Short Film Festival presents short films from and about Palestine through a travelling network across Italy. Its competition is open to Palestinian and non-Palestinian filmmakers and covers fiction, documentaries, experimental work and Gaze on Gaza. Screenings in cinemas, universities and other cultural venues connect the selected films with discussions and educational activities. The project dates back to 2017 and maintains an archive that supports the circulation of Palestinian cinema and stories from the diaspora. Nazra Palestine Short Film Festival APS is the organising association.

The seventh edition runs from 1 to 31 October 2026, with its opening programme and awards in Naples on 1–4 October, followed by screenings and meetings across Italy.

Awards and prizes

An international jury selects the winning film in each competition category. Under the 2026 regulations, each winner receives a cash prize and the Nazra Boat, a sculpture by artist Jerry Bogani. The awards are presented at the closing ceremony of the tour’s opening event. Youth juries also take part in the festival’s educational programme.
