Cross-Border Film Festival Tribute to a Vision

Tribute to a Vision is a cross-border film festival held in October in the twin cities of Gorizia and Nova Gorica, on the Slovenian-Italian border. Kinoatelje organizes the festival, which moves across cinemas, public spaces and communities on both sides of the border. According to the festival, it has run for more than twenty-five years.

The programme includes the Darko Bratina Award, given since 1999 to a filmmaker whose work reflects on contemporary society. First Crossings, launched in 2018, is a platform for short films by young filmmakers at the start of their careers, and student films from its competition are included.

The dates for the 2026 edition are 29 September – 4 October 2026.
