PRIX EUROPA

PRIX EUROPA describes itself as a most influential pan-European broadcasting festival. The festival dates back to 1987, and its founders include the European Parliament and the European Cultural Foundation. It has enjoyed the Patronage of the European Parliament since 2017. Its permanent host is Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb), where the festival has been based since 1997.

The week-long competition features and awards European audio, video and digital media productions and gathers about 1,000 participants from across the continent in Berlin each October. Its open jury system, at the core of the festival, lets the makers of nominated productions join the jury for their genre and discuss what colleagues in other countries have produced. The dates for the 2026 edition are 11-16 October 2026, at the rbb Haus des Rundfunks in Berlin.
