POCITY FILM is a film festival in Prešov, Slovakia, which describes itself as the only event of its kind in the city and its surroundings. Its long-term aim is to present artistically valuable films, with an emphasis on Slovak cinema and Slovak filmmakers. The programme brings films that have won awards at world festivals in recent years, provocative and unconventional works, and older films that remain timeless. Screenings take place at Cinemax Novum, Stromoradie and WAVE – Centre for Independent Culture.
The festival includes a short-film competition, Pocity v kraťasoch, which presents films by young and professional filmmakers, and discussions with filmmakers and guests. The dates for the 2026 edition, the 17th, are 8–14 October 2026.
