Multivision Festival

Multivision connects animated short films with video art, installations and multimedia performance in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The International Festival of Animation Arts dates back to 2003 and is organised by the Multivision charitable foundation. Its international competition includes professional and student animation, alongside programmes for adults and children. Exhibitions extend the programme into contemporary art museums, while workshops address young animation professionals.

The festival also develops Multi-Bridge, a separate summer public art project that projects animation onto raised drawbridges over the Neva. The dates of the 16th edition are 27 October–25 November 2018, with cinema screenings and exhibitions of animated video art, installations and virtual reality.
