Youngabout International Film Festival in Bologna, Italy, presents films for young audiences and gives young people a say in the results: students from secondary schools and universities make up the jury. Short and feature films are shown in Bologna cinemas such as Odeon, Rialto and Perla, with morning screenings for school classes and a review-writing contest for young viewers. The call for entries for the 2023 edition accepts fiction, animation and documentary shorts of up to 14 minutes.
The festival is organised by the non-profit association Gli Anni in Tasca, which also runs the school film series Un film nello zaino. The 2023 edition, the seventeenth, opened with screenings on 8–10 November and ran until 7 December 2023.
