Quinzena de Dança de Almada – International Dance Festival

The festival is built around the International Platform for Choreographers, which opens part of the programme to independent contemporary dance companies and creators from around the world. Alongside stage works, it runs a dance-on-screen strand: a video dance showcase in several programmes and, since 2026, Saracoteio – Dança no Ecrã, devoted to dance films and videos from Portuguese-speaking countries and developed with partners in Macau and Cape Verde.

Quinzena de Dança de Almada has taken place annually without interruption since 1992. Created and organised by Companhia de Dança de Almada, it adds workshops, meetings, training sessions, exhibitions and digital performances to its performances, in formal and informal spaces across Almada, Portugal. The dates for the 34th edition are 25 September – 11 October 2026.
