Seoul Independent Film Festival
서울독립영화제
Seoul Independent Film Festival is a competitive showcase of the year's Korean independent cinema, open to fiction, experimental, documentary and animation works of any length. Its competition is divided into short and feature sections, alongside a New Choice section for directors with no more than one feature. The festival traces its roots to the Korean Youth Film Festival of 1975, has worked as a competition since 1999 and has carried its present name since 2002. The Association of Korean Independent Film & Video and the Korean Film Council co-host it.
Beyond the festival itself, the SIFF Plus programme runs year-round activities such as the Indie Picnic touring screenings and overseas showcases. The dates for the 2026 edition are 25 November – 4 December 2026, with screenings at CGV Apgujeong and CGV Cheongdam Cine City in Seoul.
