Awards and prizes

The 2026 awards include prizes for the International, French, First Film and Flash competitions, alongside the International and French Georges de Beauregard awards. The Cnap award recognises experimental or innovative filmmaking across the four competitions. The Fondazione Claudia Cardinale award offers a one-month residency to the director of a first feature. Other distinctions include distribution support in partnership with GNCR, the Renaud Victor award, High School and Second Chance School jury awards, and an Audience Award. The Renaud Victor jury involves voluntary participants incarcerated at Marseille’s Les Baumettes prison; its award includes a pre-acquisition for the Images de la culture catalogue.

Festival rules

The 2026 regulations accept films of any length and production format completed from 1 January 2025. Entrants must identify first films; a filmmaker may submit several works, but only one may enter competition. Advertising and institutional films are excluded. Non-French-language submissions require English subtitles for selection viewing. Entries use the online Eventival platform and must include a working screening link. Selected screening copies are DCP or 35 mm, in the original language with English subtitles, or French subtitles for English-language films. Selected filmmakers and rights holders must provide the requested technical and publicity materials and cannot withdraw after the official programme announcement. The French regulations are authoritative. These rules concern the completed 2026 edition; its call for entries is closed.
