Notodofilmfest focuses on very short films made for online exhibition, with a general maximum running time of three and a half minutes. Based in Madrid, the festival is an initiative of La Fábrica from an original idea by Javier Fesser and dates back to 2001. Its competition accepts filmmakers of different nationalities and includes fiction, animation and documentary work, alongside a separate challenge for films lasting thirty seconds.
Films appear on the festival website and its video channel after approval. Industry professionals select the awards, which combine cash prizes with distribution, training and production support. Notodofilmfest School extends its activities through filmmaking masterclasses.
