Kinoforum – São Paulo International Short Film Festival presents Brazilian and international short films in São Paulo, Brazil. Founded in 1990 and organized by Associação Cultural Kinoforum, it combines International and Latin American showcases with Brazilian programmes, the experimental Unlimited Showcase, and screenings for children and teenagers. Special programmes include tributes and collaborations with other festivals and institutions.

The festival also connects filmmakers through Curta e Mercado and the Kinoforum Labs, including editing and project development laboratories. Screenings extend across cinemas and cultural venues, with selected films available on Brazilian streaming platforms. Audience voting identifies ten Brazilian and ten international favourites, alongside awards from independent juries and partner organizations. The dates for the 37th edition are 20–30 August 2026.

The 2026 regulations accept short films of all genres, up to 25 minutes including credits, completed in 2025 or 2026 and never previously submitted to the festival. Advertising and institutional films are excluded. Entries use Short Film Depot. Immersive works are eligible, and applicants must disclose any use of artificial intelligence in writing, images or sound. Works in progress must already have a final edit and require completion by 31 May 2026; only sound mixing, colour correction and mastering may remain. Selected films require digital exhibition copies and English SRT subtitles; Brazilian films also require Portuguese SRT subtitles. Submission includes authorization for the selected online screenings. The festival does not provide screening fees for films entered through its selection process.
