Festival des 3 Continents
Cinema from Africa, Latin America and Asia shapes the Festival des 3 Continents in Nantes, France. Organised by the non-profit association Les 3 Continents, the festival dates back to 1979 and combines an international competition with special screenings, filmmaker retrospectives, restored films, thematic programmes and screenings for young audiences. Its selection embraces fiction and documentary cinema, while its Produire au Sud workshops train directors and producers in international co-production.
The 48th edition dates are 20–28 November 2026. Screenings take place at the Katorza, Concorde, Pathé Nantes and Cinématographe. The international competition presents French premieres and awards the Montgolfière d’Or and Montgolfière d’Argent, alongside audience and young-jury prizes.
