Far Away Film Fest focuses on animation and artist-made films inspired by cultures around the world. Nepalese animator Sanyukta Shrestha assembles the selection, and Yantrakala Studios presents the programme. Its screenings accompany Art Catcher’s exhibition In a Country Far Far Away, connecting moving images with an international exhibition of art inspired by stories and cultural identity.
The 2018 programme spans the Art Pavilion in Mile End, London, and the Kaiserpalais in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany. The German presentation, hosted by Philomena Höltekemeier, has dates of 23–24 May 2018.
