Indigenous perspectives on life, history and cultural continuity in North America shape the programme of Indigenous: The North America Film Festival in Stuttgart, Germany. Its films address the relationship between inherited traditions and contemporary life, challenging familiar screen stereotypes. Fiction, documentaries, animation and music videos sit alongside conversations with visiting Indigenous filmmakers. School screenings, encounters with young people and teachers, and cultural events extend its educational programme beyond the cinema.

The festival dates back to 2004 and takes place every two years, with Gunter Lange as artistic director. Its partners include Volkshochschule Stuttgart, the Linden Museum and the German-American Center/James F. Byrnes Institute. The dates for the 2027 edition in Stuttgart are 4–7 February 2027.
