Central European cinema anchors the competitions at International Film Festival Febiofest Bratislava. Short and feature films from the Visegrad countries, Austria and Ukraine sit alongside international arthouse releases, Slovak premieres and archival cinema. The programme spans fiction, documentary, animation and experimental work, with separate strands for film history, unconventional cinema and young audiences.

The festival dates back to 1993 and is organised by the Association of Slovak Film Clubs, with the Slovak Film Institute as its main co-organiser. Its main screenings take place in Bratislava, while selected films travel to other Slovak cinemas. Bratislava Industry Days complements the public programme with works-in-progress presentations and discussions connecting Slovak and international film professionals.
