Lucca Film Festival combines international feature and short film competitions with retrospectives, exhibitions and public conversations in Lucca, Tuscany. Its programming spans experimental and mainstream cinema, with Italian premieres alongside tributes to filmmakers and opportunities to examine their work through masterclasses. The LFF for Future short film competition focuses on environmental sustainability, social responsibility and new generations. Lucca Effetto Cinema extends the programme into the city through performances inspired by cinema.

The festival is organised by Associazione Vi(s)ta Nova ETS under the artistic direction of Nicola Borrelli. Its historical name also includes Europa Cinema, reflecting its collaboration with the Viareggio festival. The dates of the 2026 edition are 26 September–4 October 2026.
