dotdotdot Open Air Short Film Festival
dotdotdot Open Air Kurzfilmfestival
dotdotdot presents open-air short film programmes in Vienna that connect cinema with social and political discussion. Its curated thematic strands include animation and films that take formal and aesthetic risks, alongside filmmaker conversations, workshops and artistic interventions. Accessibility shapes the festival through sign-language cinema and interpretation, subtitles for Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences, induction loops and flexible admission prices.
The festival dates back to 2015 as the successor to espressofilm, its predecessor from 2010 to 2014. It is organised by dotdotdot – Verein zur Kultivierung der kurzen Form. The programme combines Austrian and international short filmmaking and makes space for dialogue across generations and experiences.
