Intermediaciones focuses on video art and experimental cinema in Medellín, Colombia. Led by Adriana Rojas Espitia and Santiago Andrés Gómez of Ojo Mágico Productora Audiovisual, it is a noncompetitive showcase that places work by established artists alongside pieces by students, amateurs and creators developing an experimental practice. Its programme encompasses video dance, video performance, video poetry, experimental animation and unconventional approaches to fiction and documentary.
The thirteenth edition is in November 2026. Its local selection, ExperimentaLocal, includes retrospective work, transitions and premieres; a national selection accepts Colombian work, while international participation is through partnerships and direct invitations. Screenings and educational activities are free to attend.

2026 edition — XIII Intermediaciones, Medellín, November 2026.
The showcase accepts video art, experimental video, video dance, video performance, experimental animation, video poetry and experimental cinema. Each author may submit any number of works. Works containing racial discrimination or inciting violence or animal abuse are not accepted.
Local selection — ExperimentaLocal 2026: creators from Medellín and municipalities throughout Antioquia may submit. Retrospectiva accepts works from 1980–2010, regardless of video format; Transiciones accepts works from 2011–2023; Estrenos accepts works from 2024–2026. Local submission is free through the organiser's local registration form.
National selection: Colombian creators may submit works from 2024–2026 in the accepted video art and experimental forms. Submission is free through the organiser's national registration form.
Experimental Narratives accepts local and national documentary and fiction works produced in 2024–2026 that demonstrate experimental elements in their narrative or aesthetics. Local and national entries use their respective registration forms. International participation in 2026 is through partnerships and direct invitations.

Intermediaciones is not responsible for copyright infringements in submitted works; legal claims fall to the rights holders. The organiser notifies the rights holders of selected works by email. Selected rights holders must supply a downloadable screening file in .mov format through WeTransfer, MyAirBridge, Google Drive or another transfer service.
Selected works become part of the Intermediaciones archive and may appear in its travelling events in other cities and countries. Participants receive advance notice of where their works are presented. By submitting, the author grants reproduction and exhibition rights for screenings at the thirteenth edition and authorises screenings at Intermediaciones travelling events in other cities and countries. The author also authorises use of images from the work in promotional and publicity activities, including catalogues, promotional reels and brochures.
Selected works receive no screening fee. Intermediaciones is noncompetitive, and both screenings and educational activities offer free admission.
