Awards and prizes

Feature-fiction awards include the Golden Camel for Best Director, Red Rose for a released film, Green Rose for a film conveying a global message, and Yellow Rose for a premiere. Additional awards recognise debut direction, acting, original screenplay, sound, editing, cinematography, costume, makeup, music, production design and visual effects, together with Jaipur Critics, Indian Panorama and special jury recognition. Documentary features compete for Best Documentary Feature, directing, sound and editing, cinematography and jury awards. Short fiction awards recognise the film, screenplay, director, editing, cinematography, sound and performances. Separate awards cover short documentaries, animation, student films, web series, mobile films, advertising films and OTT fiction. Feature and short screenplay competitions each award first, second and third prizes and certificates; finalists' scripts receive industry readings. The World AI Cinema Competition provides a Best Film Award and Special Jury Mention in each category, with discretionary honorary AI awards. Some thematic, regional and special-category prizes depend on minimum entry numbers and the organising committee. The advertised cash-prize pool of up to INR 5,000,000 depends on government support; it is not guaranteed.
