International Festival of Animation Films «Animaevka»

Animaevka is an international animation festival in Mogilev, Belarus, organised by the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus. The idea came from Belarusfilm animation director Igor Volchek: the first festival took place in Minsk in May 1998, and from September of the same year it has been held in Mogilev annually.

The festival runs three competitions: animated films, children's animation, and children's fine arts and decorative crafts. An expert commission selects the entries for the two film competitions. Alongside the screenings, the programme includes meetings with animation directors, master classes and exhibitions of the children's competition works. Since 2025, competition and out-of-competition programmes are also screened in every region of Belarus during the festival days, and afterwards the submitted films tour cinemas in Belarus and abroad as the “Echo of Animaevka” programme. The dates for the 2026 edition are 30 September – 2 October 2026.
