Films by women of Asian origin, wherever they live, are the focus of the IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival in New Delhi. Organized by the India Chapter of the International Association of Women in Radio and Television, the non-competitive festival dates back to 2005 and marks International Women’s Day. Its screenings span documentary, fiction, animation and experimental work, alongside seminars, masterclasses and exhibitions. Curated selections also travel to other Indian cities and international festivals.
The dates for the 21st edition are 13–15 March 2026 at the India International Centre. Its programme includes 75 films, a focus on Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, and short-film selections from AniMela and Asanjo.
