Euregion Film Forum

Euregion Film Forum is an annual event for emerging filmmakers and film professionals from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, built around industry talks, masterclasses, pitching and networking in the cross-border Meuse-Rhine Euregion. It is organised by CineSud in Heerlen in collaboration with Lumière Cinema Maastricht, and every edition revolves around a central industry theme.

The Euregion Shorts Competition presents short films from the region and gives a Best Film award, a Special Mention and an Audience Award; the Talent Film Pitch is open to emerging filmmakers’ projects. The event was called Euregion Film Festival until 2022 and took its current name in 2023.

The 2027 edition takes place on 14–16 January 2027 in Maastricht and Heerlen, as part of the Limburg Film Festival, in collaboration with the New Producers Academy. Its focus is the collaboration between producers and directors and the step from short film to first feature.
