Festival rules

2026 feature and short-film selection: eligible works are produced from 2024 onward. Features and international shorts must have no prior screening at another Romanian fantasy or horror festival; Romanian shorts are exempt. Features run at least 70 minutes and shorts at most 20. English subtitles and an English dialogue list are required. A committee makes the final selection. Selected films cannot be withdrawn, receive no screening fee, and may enter festival screenings and retrospectives in 2026–2027. Entries accept DCP, DVD/Blu-ray, online screeners, Dropbox and MPG/MOV/AVI files. The press kit includes three stills, a poster, trailer, principal credits, entry form and authorizations. Applicants cover shipping and customs. Selected representatives must supply missing materials and confirm catalogue information within 15 days. Screening copies use Blu-ray, DVD or QuickTime H264 and may be rejected for inadequate technical quality. Entry accepts the regulations; management resolves unaddressed situations. The 2026 entry deadline is 31 August; final materials are due 18 September. Dracula Digital: entrants are aged 16–29 and submit a mobile-phone genre film lasting 1–3 minutes through the competition website. Entry is free, with no screening-rights payment. Five jury selections and one audience selection reach the final. Finalists participate in workshops and create a three-minute phone film on a jury-selected theme; the jury chooses the winner. Entrants must hold the necessary film, performance and music rights and permit promotional use of submitted materials and recording of competition activity. Participation accepts the rules and Romanian jurisdiction; organizers resolve exceptional cases and may exclude unlawful or rights-infringing entries.
