B-movies, underground cinema and trash films define the BUT Film Festival in Breda, the Netherlands. Its selection focuses on independent, low-budget and genre filmmaking, combining new features and shorts with retrospectives. Music, poetry, performance art, exhibitions and workshops extend the programme beyond cinema. The nonprofit festival is an initiative of the Idee-fixe (IDFX) foundation and runs with volunteers. An external jury selects the winners of its feature and short film competitions, alongside awards recognising emerging talent and the achievements of invited guests.

The dates for the 2027 edition are 18–22 August 2027. The festival also presents WinterBUT and screenings throughout the year.
