BANG Awards combines an international animation competition with online screenings and open-air cinema in Torres Vedras, Portugal. Films can enter for festival-only exhibition or for both festival and website screenings. The event connects animation with digital arts, multimedia and illustration, and includes student films alongside independent and professional productions. It is promoted by the Municipality of Torres Vedras, organised by Nau Identidade and produced by Slingshot.

The dates for the eighth edition are 25–27 September 2026. Its theme is “Youmanization”, and the programme centres on Choupal Park, with multiple outdoor screens, light installations and video mapping. Workshops and masterclasses accompany the film screenings.
