Animac is the International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia, organised by Lleida City Council with the collaboration of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Its focus is auteur animation: in Lleida the festival combines screenings, retrospectives, thematic monographic programmes, premieres, talks, workshops and professional activities.
The official sections cover short films, Futur Talent for student work and Petit Animac for children, each with an audience award. Films from animation schools in Catalonia, Andorra, the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands compete for the Talent.cat Award, and the Incubator section presents animation projects in development. The festival also presents an Honorary Award and an Animation Master Award to established animators. The 31st edition takes place in Lleida from 25 to 28 February 2027.
