ANIMA LATINA focuses on animation from Latin America, with separate competitions for regional and Argentine productions and for films made at animation schools. Its Buenos Aires programme combines short films, music videos, animated documentaries, series pilots and microshorts with a children’s panorama. Workshops, project development sessions and talks address pitching, production and animation practice. Ezequiel Dalinger serves as director and general producer.

The dates for the ninth edition are 25–30 August 2026. Its venues include Centro Cultural Borges, Manzana de las Luces, Palacio Libertad and Image Campus. The programme includes free screenings, a workshop for animated short films in development and a retrospective dedicated to Uruguayan stop-motion filmmaker Clara Rodríguez de Almeida.
