ANIMA connects animation screenings with university teaching and research in Córdoba, Argentina. The festival dates back to 2001 and combines international, Latin American, Argentine and student short-film competitions with training and the International Academic Forum on Animation. The forum evaluates research contributions through peer review. The National University of Córdoba and the National University of Villa María share the festival’s organisation, with particular attention to innovative work and productions from academic settings.

The fifteenth edition’s dates are 13–16 October 2026. Its programme includes animated series, music videos, XR experiences and a showcase of Latin American features, alongside workshops, professional exchanges and academic discussions.
