The Vevey International Funny Film Festival (VIFFF) is devoted entirely to comedy cinema and describes itself as the only Swiss festival of its kind. Held since 2015 at the end of October in the centre of Vevey, it looks at humour in all its forms, from classics of the genre to independent contemporary comedy. The programme combines an international feature competition, the VIFFF Explore section, CHCHCH: Swiss Comedies, midnight screenings, international and Swiss short film competitions, a young audience strand, a free open-air cinema, thematic focuses and retrospectives. Alongside the festival, the ÉC’RIRE writing residencies accompany new comedy writers. Screenings take place at the Astor and Rex cinemas near the Place du Marché.

The dates of the 12th edition are 21–25 October 2026.
