Festival rules
For the 2026 edition, the festival's main application form covers films produced in 2025 or 2026, with categories for feature films, documentaries, short films and animation. Applicants provide an online screener, film information, a synopsis and production contacts. Future Generation short fiction and animation submissions use the festival's FilmFreeway page.
Applicants confirm that they own or control the necessary rights to submit the film and authorize its festival screenings and promotional use. The application declaration permits use of the film, the applicant's name, photographs and press materials to promote the festival. Submitted materials are not returned. The main application form treats assistance with wider production and distribution rights as a separate choice.
