The Toronto Black Film Festival (TBFF) presents films about Black realities from Canada and around the world, and takes place in Toronto each February, during Black History Month. Its selection is open to filmmakers of any background whose films deal with a Black reality or community, or give major roles to Black actors. The programme combines narrative features, documentaries, mid-length and short films with retrospectives and tributes to figures of cinema, alongside a kids’ festival and a live music series.

The festival was created by the Montreal-based Fabienne Colas Foundation, which also founded the Montreal International Black Film Festival and the Halifax Black Film Festival. The first edition took place on 13–17 February 2013. The dates for the 2027 edition are 10–15 February 2027.
