About

Yupiter-XXI is a Moscow film studio founded in 2017 as the legal successor of the Gubernia Foundation for Social and Cultural Programmes, active since 2002. It produces animated shorts, feature films and series as well as live-action and documentary films, with particular attention to debut and auteur projects. The studio also organises film events across Russian regions — children's film days, competitions, exhibitions and retrospectives — including the festival Man Knowing the World, held since 2014, and the Russian animation award IKAR. It is headed by producer and cinematographer Valeriy Ryabin.
