It covers the full production cycle of students' educational, coursework and graduation films — fiction, documentary, animation and popular science — and supports stage productions of the university's acting workshops. More than 120 short films are made at the studio each year. It has five sound stages, a camera equipment department, an editing and sound mixing complex, set construction, props and costume stores, and a make-up workshop.
