Ruunpe is a two-minute abstract animation by Boris Labbé that gives life to elementary forms drawn from Ainu textile patterns. The shapes evolve endlessly through repetition, moving in rhythm with traditional Ainu music. It is one of four short films in the Sirki cycle made for the Ainu Cultural Space minapa in Sapporo.
