Lament

Lament is an animated music video built around video footage of an evening stroll through the al-Jdayde quarter of Aleppo, Syria, filmed in February 2012, just before the conflict began. Rather than dwell on the harsh moments of the recent past, the film reflects on the city as it was, a crossroads of people and cultures, in memory of good moments and in hope of meeting again.
