Katalin Egely
Katalin (Kati) Egely is an animation director born in Budapest in 1988. She studied scenography at the University of Fine Arts in Budapest and graduated in animation (BA) from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in 2013, studied graphic design at EASD Valencia on an Erasmus scholarship in 2012, and in 2015 studied documentary film at IDAC in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires. Besides short films and animated scenes for feature films, she works mainly on music videos, which she approaches as visual poetry built on associative images, and on animated documentary. Her music videos have been selected at festivals worldwide and won awards including Short of the Year for best music video and best commissioned animation at the Kecskemét Animation Film Festival.
