Sophie Racine

Sophie Racine is a French animation director and illustrator. She studied animation at ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2011 and a master's degree in 2013, and during her studies made the animated shorts L'Envolée (Flight), Balades (Wandering) and Rêves de brume (The Mist Is Coming In), which were selected and awarded at international festivals. In her films she seeks to recreate a sensitive experience of the poetry of everyday life, often starting from the exploration of a place and the emotions it arouses. Her first professional short film received the André-Martin Prize at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2020.
