Mirjam Skal

Also known as: Mirjam Schnedl

Mirjam Skal is a Zurich-based film and media composer and orchestrator, born in 1996. She studied Composition for Film, Theatre and Media at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), took part in Berlinale Talents in 2021 and received an Alliance for Women Film Composers mentorship under Mychael Danna. Her scores span animated shorts, documentaries, feature films, games and television work for SRF; she won the Rolf Hans Müller Prize in 2024 for Tatort: Von Affen und Menschen and the German Documentary Film Music Award in 2025 for VRACHT.
