Damian Marhulets

Damian Marhulets is a composer and electronic artist based in Germany. Born in 1980 in Minsk, Belarus, he performed as an oboe soloist in his youth, moved to Germany in 2000 and studied modern composition, improvisation and electronic music at the Music Academy in Hannover and in Cologne. He has been an artist-in-residence at ZKM Karlsruhe, ACROE Grenoble, the Ionian University in Corfu and STEIM in Amsterdam, and writes concert music as well as music for theatre, film and dance. His work ranges from live electronics and experimental turntablism to VR environments and graphic scores, and he also works as an artistic director and curator in Hannover.
